At Michelle Louise Kent Aesthetics, we want you to feel confident when booking your treatment. This Refund Policy explains how booking fees, deposits and treatment payments are handled.
1. Non-refundable booking fees and deposits
Certain appointments require a non-refundable booking fee/deposit at the time of booking.
A non-refundable booking fee/deposit may be required for:
-
Treatments with a value of £200 or more.
-
Appointments involving prescription-only medication.
-
Any appointment where a booking fee/deposit is specifically stated at the time of booking.
The booking fee/deposit secures your appointment and is non-refundable.
Where applicable, the booking fee/deposit will be deducted from the total cost of your treatment.
By paying the booking fee/deposit, you acknowledge and accept that it is non-refundable.
2. Cancellation or rearrangement
If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, you must provide at least 24 hours' notice.
Where less than 24 hours' notice is provided, the booking fee/deposit will be forfeited and will not be refunded.
If you have not previously paid a booking fee/deposit, a non-refundable £50 booking fee will be required before a future appointment can be booked.
3. Missed appointments
If you fail to attend your appointment without providing at least 24 hours' notice:
-
Any booking fee/deposit already paid will not be refunded.
-
A non-refundable £50 booking fee will be required before another appointment can be booked.
Repeated non-attendance may result in future bookings being declined.
4. Prescription-only medication
Where an appointment involves prescription-only medication, a non-refundable booking fee may be required.
The payment of a booking fee does not guarantee that medication will be prescribed.
Prescribing is subject to an appropriate clinical assessment and the professional judgement of the prescribing clinician.
If medication is not clinically appropriate, this will be discussed with you.
5. Treatment outcomes
Aesthetic treatments are individual and results cannot be guaranteed.
A refund will not normally be provided solely because you are dissatisfied with the aesthetic outcome where the treatment has been appropriately provided and there has been no failure to provide the service with reasonable care and skill.
Treatment expectations, potential risks and limitations will be discussed during your consultation.
6. Treatment concerns and complications
If you experience a concern, unexpected reaction or complication following treatment, please contact Michelle Louise Kent Aesthetics as soon as possible.
We will assess your concern and provide appropriate advice or recommend further medical assessment where necessary.
Where appropriate, concerns will be dealt with on an individual clinical basis.
7. Treatment cannot safely proceed
Your safety is our priority.
If, following consultation or assessment, we determine that a treatment is not clinically appropriate or safe to proceed with, we will discuss the available options with you.
The treatment fee will not be charged for a treatment that has not been provided.
Any booking fee/deposit will remain subject to the terms under which it was paid and applicable consumer rights.
8. Refund requests
If you believe you are entitled to a refund or have a concern regarding a payment, please contact Michelle Louise Kent Aesthetics.
Please provide:
-

9. Statutory rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to exclude or restrict your statutory rights.
Where applicable, your rights under UK consumer protection and other relevant legislation will continue to apply.

What to include in the Refund Policy
Generally speaking, a Refund Policy often addresses these types of issues: the timeframe for asking for a refund; will the refund be full or partial; under which conditions will the customer receive a refund; and much, much more.
